Savannah Witch Series
These books are SO FREAKING GOOD!!! I loved them so much đź’ś!
The first book makes you fall in love with the main character and feel for her situation. Mercy Taylor is from a very powerful line of witches that are always chosen to anchor their line of magic in order to keep the demons who created them out. However unlike her family she has no power of her own. She is what her uncle Conner calls “the dud” or as her aunt Jinny would say “the disappointment” ! When Jinny is murdered everything in Mercy’s life gets turned upside down. She quickly learns the sister she loves is plotting her murder with her demon lover, and that much of her life has been a lie.
Welcome to Savannah where witches, and demons reside.
In book two we find Mercy pregnant and you just want to keep her safe from all the evil being thrown at her! She is torn between her childhood best friend turned boyfriend, and this golem that was seemingly brought to life just for her. In the end she marries her red headed Peter. Mercy’s mother who faked her own death (many times over) keeps messing with Mercy. Trying over and over to manipulate her (sometimes succeeding). I love how the author pulls from many sources to create the story that pulls you in and settles in your heart. There is a golem of Jewish lore, fae lore from Europe and the hoodoo of the south. There are fantastic, and earth shattering revelations about Mercy and her family in book two.
The last book the void I was ugly crying first from anger then from happiness. In the third book Mercy really still hasn’t had a chance to see her powers come to full power yet. The anchors of the line still want her either gone or completely in the dark. The horrid anchors are so convinced that Mercy is apart of this whacked out prophecy. The anchors are so controlled by their fears they start killing Mercy’s unborn child calling it the abomination a being without a soul brought to human form. Little do they know that they are too late. Mercy is the “abomination” that Emily and Eric worked so hard to create through the dark magic of Talanzia. Mercy is the embodiment of the line, and as the anchors try to destroy her they are aiding the three rebel families complete the prophecy. Thank God for Mother Jilo though because her loving words pull Mercy from her pity party, and help her save her family.
Maisy is back but is still in la-la- land. Once Maisy gets back to getting a grasp on reality she is a very powerful witch and ally. Book three you are just engulfed into the book. You are apart of the Taylor, Tierney, and Mother Jilo clan!
I highly recommend.
