I know how to take care of my body and I practice safe sex every single time. I pee and shower immediately after sex and still every time my boyfriend and I sleep together I get a UTI. I was talking to one of my coworkers about it and she said she's prone to UTIs herself so she understands. She told me she has a theory about sex moving the bladder in a weird way and maybe it's just the way everything moves around internally that actually causes the UTI. I've had to visit my doctor multiple times for antibiotics just to clear out my system. But I am so tired of having to go through that process every time. I've spoken with my doctor about what more I can do to prevent UTIs. She agreed that I'm doing everything I should be and there really isn't anything I could do unless I stop having sex all together. There's no way I could do that. I just wanna know if anyone has any advice. Does lube help? If so what kind? Water-based? I just don't wanna give up on finding a solution.
