My ex & I are still very good friends. We get our kids together still (they’re the same age), & hang out from time to time. So the last few times we’ve hung out his son calls me momma. He knows my name but no matter how many times we say it he just won’t. His dad hugged me and he said “Get off momma.”

It doesn’t bother me that he calls me Momma and his dad said he doesn’t mind but I know his mother would throw a fit so I correct it every time he says it. His dad does as well. I don’t know what to do. Keep correcting him? Let him be? He calls his dad by his first name but calls me momma 😅

Not sure if it make a difference but my ex and i met when his son had just turned one and he’s about to be 3 so it’s been almost two years of building a bond and such.
