What grade would you stop bringing your kid to the bus stop?
My son is in kindergarten. Every time I bring him to the school bus.. which is on the road down the driveway/road from my apartment. I see kids in his class and a few grades above by themselves with no parent. And then 2 teenagers (who is one of my sons classmates sister but also they don’t sit outside most of the time they make the little sister run all the way to the apartment when she sees the bus) but everyone else at the bus stop seems to be grade 3 and under with no older adult/teen with them. Most of the kids live in the apartment complex and there is no way to see the bus stop from the windows since it’s not facing that road..
ATVs, snowmobiles, etc are always going by on the trail that’s right by the bus stop. And I’ve seen the kids around this area running in the roads all the time. On purpose when they see a car sometimes too... there also isn’t any other houses besides a townhome and a dollar general (but not facing the bs stop it’s infront of my apartment and faces the main road). Then a bunch of trees behind my building and next to the bus stop.
I personally feel like most of those kids should be supervised while out at the bus stop.
Especially since I live in a town people are always coming and going from because of the casino and the huge lake people are ice fishing on right now. (Which I’ve heard is a known spot people sell sex traffickers in the ice houses)
I know I’m out there and stuff but I’m not out there everyday (like if my son is sick or has dr appts) and I definitely don’t know who any of those kids parents are.. Incase anything were to ever happen.
