My daughter is still little (almost 5 months) but I want to start potty training at soon as possible (1 year old) , I know people who start potty training kind of late and her kids are 4&5 and still don’t know how to use a bathroom , they absolutely refuse to pee in the bathroom only in diapers.

My son is 19mo we started potty training last month. We put him on first thing in the morning and every 2-3 hours after that and before bed. And let him sit 5-10 minutes. Talk to him about it like do you need to go potty? Can you got potty? Or when the time is up ask if he went just so he kind of understands what he’s doing. And just be patient he’s gone maybe a handful of times but we get really excited when he does and show him like point to it and say did you go pee in your potty? And say yay and let him flush it. We have the one that look like the toilet because the cup on it was better. Also my boyfriend bought these portable potty seats it’s just in a small bag to fit in a diaper bag so you can get it on the toilet and they can sit there, for whenever we go out somewhere. He did also buy training underwear and he’s used them a few times but I don’t think he’s quite ready for those.
