Do you believe that boredom can be deadly?
So, I recently picked a topic for a speech I had to write in a class I took. I came up with: “Why do our minds work in such a complex way?”
Anyway, I came across someone the other day who would not stop complaining about being bored - and I admit, I get like that too sometimes. But they would just not stop saying the phrase, “I’m going to die, I’m so bored.”
Now this got me thinking; can boredom literally kill us?
I personally somewhat believe that it can. I think that it could drive us insane and put pressure on us to do anything... Even if that means doing something that will put us into danger.
I’d like to see what you all think about this - especially because this question has been lingering in the back of my mind for such a long time now. But it will also help me provide a strong point to the structure of my speech.
Thank you :)
