When did you start introducing forks and spoons?

My son is 15 months and he has some spoons but he can’t seem to get the hang of them. We haven’t tried forks yet as the only ones I can find are metal and I’m nervous about him getting hurt. Im going to order some online

My kids had their own spoons around 6-9 months . Forks by 12 months 🤷🏻‍♀️

Around 10 months. Now my daughter is nearly 15 months and feeds her self.

6 months. Forks like a year though. He would have stabbed his eye out before that.

I started letting him handle his own spoon around 10 months and now he’s 17 months old and has been using a fork since about 13 months he’s definitely still super messy with them and learning he often will be like forget it and just eat with his hands lol

My son just turned 17mo & he just started getting it. Once he masters the spoon, we’ve got baby forks/sporks for him.

We let him have his own spoon even when we were feeding him. Eventually he got the hang of it. We started that probably around 9 months. We did find plastic forks to introduce when he was almost 2.
