I made a post on Instagram yesterday about trying to realize our worth without comparing ourselves to others.

I personally have a self-image crisis when I see this one BEAUTIFUL girl on my Instagram. She messaged me yesterday after I posted a selfie telling me how beautiful SHE thought that I was and I was shocked! She listed compliments to me and I felt like I was being complimented by Aphrodite herself. 😂

After our conversation ended, I ran through the shower and as I looked in the mirror, I felt that same sinking feeling I always feel when I see my face. Same face, same acne, same weird nose...

I realized that every other woman on the planet does what I do, they knit-pick themselves. They tear apart their features the same way I do.

How many women post the FIRST selfie? ZERO. I mean, you might, but not without taking others “just in case”.

STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP BECAUSE OF THAT PRETTY GIRL ON SOCIAL MEDIA. PLEASE.
