Why do ppl say after you has a baby u know your open and be careful? I went to pick my oldest up from school with my newborn and the woman said be careful outside ur open. At a dr app recently another woman told me the same thing about being outside because im open and gestured around the vaginal area. What does that mean!!!!!!!

My mom told me to make sure I covered up and took care of myself PP because I was “open” but she says she’s referring to open pores/open airways Meaning, I could get colics, more easily prone to infections, and colds because my body would be recovering and be more susceptible to bacteria’s.

I think it means dont try to be wonder woman by doing too much. It could also mean you are able to get pregnant again easily so be careful.

She could also be referring to the fact that baby's placenta coming away from the wall of your uterus is technically a large wound. While you're bleeding and recently had baby that wound is pretty large, it's just internal. Just my random thought because someone else mentioned this to me haha unfortunately life does have to go on when we have older kids :/ but congrats on your baby!

My SO is Hispanic and his grandma believes air will get trapped if don’t keep legs together for 6weeks PP and keep you fat. Maybe they are referring to something similar
