Random fever?

Question

So my son woke up this morning with a random fever? It started at 101, it’s kind of been steady hanging around 99-100 WITH Tylenol and goes to 102. Not really sure what to do at this point, he has ZERO symptoms other than being crabby at this point. Idk what’s going on.

My daughter had a 101-104 temp and we rotated Tylenol and ibuprofen. But the only symptom other than fever was that she was just sitting around and not active at all. After 4 very long days, it fever broke and so did her 4 molars.

Mine started that on Monday! Just a fever of 103.7 with no other symptoms than crankiness and tiredness. So weird. The nurse at her pediatrician’s office said it’s probably something viral and that they can’t do anything about a virus. They also told me that if she develops a cough or she goes above 104 to take her to a hospital ER. Neither happened, and today she is lingering around 99.0 for a temp. So weird!

I prefer children's  motrin..... but I've  always been told if motrin is helping  and its not over 102.5 not to worry.  If motrin doesn't  break it I would take him in.
