I write poetry - I’m pregnant after a miscarriage

It’s not my best work but I wanted to share.

Please God, don’t hurt me again. Please don’t take another

You’ve already got my first child, please let me be a mother.

You hurt me bad, the pain is deep. You gave my baby wings.

Why give me a blessing and then do such evil things?

You gave life to an innocent soul then took him for your gain.

You caused the cramps, the blood, the loss and all this endless pain.

Please let me keep this baby. Or take my life instead.

It hurts too much to function when you learn your baby’s dead.
