Measured a week early doesnt make sense

I had my first ultrasound today, was supposed to be 8 weeks, and measured 7weeks & 1 day, only thing that doesnt make sense , last period was November 28th, and last time we ttc, was dec 12th, so if I ovulated late how could it have survived till the 18th! Just doesnt make sense. Anyone else been through this?! Should I be worried? I did although see the heart palpitations today.
