Therapy vs. Medication

So lately I’ve been getting waves of depression. I just feel so tired all the time, part of it’s cause I have bad insomnia. I feel stress and anxious about little things and it gets so hard. I’ve struggled with this stuff on and off for years and I’m so sick of going to therapy or an equivalent. I can’t talk to my close friends because they are struggling too. Since it comes in waves I’m not sure if it’s hormonal or what. If you take medication for depression/anxiety will you describe it in the comments please? And for those who have tried both what do you prefer, meds or therapy? Thank you all sm lots of love ❤️
