Tips for college freshman?

I am going to college this upcoming fall, and I wanted to get tips or advice about classes and social life or anything in general. 
I want to become a heart surgeon, so if anyone wants to give me ask advice on what classes I should take and to become one easier and faster.

You'll have to talk to a college advisor/counselor about the specific classes you should take.
But I'd suggest taking a variety of classes at least for the first semester. Calculus, psychology, animal biology, creative writing....anything really. It'll help you find what you're interested in.
Also try out several clubs. So you can meet different people. 
I don't know what your financial situation is, but a part-time job is a good idea. It'll build your resume, give you $$$, and give some balance/responsibility to your schedule. I washed dishes in the dining hall 15 hours/week, and it was one of the best jobs I ever had! 
As for general advice for someone living on their own....make yourself a laundry and cleaning schedule. It's hard to stay on top of everything, but at LEAST do your laundry weekly and take out your trash! That's how you become a good roommate.

if you live on campus join as many clubs as possible that interest you and meet people through that. also if you live in a dorm leave your door open to meet people!
