Hoping someone can help since it's been two years since I've last rented a place.

My husband and I went and looked at a house to rent and we loved it, the owner who showed the house, but arent renting through, she's going through a property management company to rent out her house. Anyways she told us to contact the company and fill out an application. Well my husband talked to her about doing $1000 down and then paying the rest next week, and the owner was ok with that. She said no problem she will tell them. But she also said we have to act fast because she had 3 other showings that day 😫 so I feel like I fucked up because when I called the company I told the lady about the deal she said we could make. And then I filled out the app once we got off the phone.

Now I'm just so scared, the lady I spoke with just seemed like a bitch. And we haven't heard anything yet. How long does it normally take for an application?? Do you think I fucked us out of this one? Should I call?? She didn't say how long it goes. Ugh I'm stressing so hard. This house is seriously perfect and there's no other rentals in the area that we like. We've looked at all of them 😅 and we have to move out of our townhouse before Feb 28.
