When people find out I breastfed my daughter for 2 years.. Everyone says that's nasty.. When I was still breastfeeding her .. People would tell me to my face that's nasty.. That she was too old.. What they don't know is that I struggled so much with my first 2 babies so I was never able to breastfeed them.. So breastfeeding my daughter was a big deal to me 💕

I wanted to breastfeed for 12 months and I DID breastfeed for 12 months! 🙌🏾 I am so happy I reached my goal!💪🏾

Wanted to until she was 2, but I stopped at 20 months for my own sanity. I was extremely touched out and it was beginning to drive me insane and I'd get mad so easily. So for both of our sakes we stopped. But I really enjoyed it for the most part, we had our rough days but I wouldnt change it! Plan on doing it that long with this baby too!

My goal was a year and thankfully we made it. I nearly had my daughter weaned at 1 but then she got an ear infection and refused food, so she was glued to my boob again. She’s days away from her second birthday and I have no idea how I’m going to wean her now.

My original goal was a year because I didn’t want to have to switch to formula. Once we got past the tough part in the beginning, I decided I’m going to keep going as long as I can and as long as my daughter wants to.

I wanted to breastfeed my daughter until her first birthday but I didn't give much thought to weaning - I kept thinking that just keeping up will be difficult enough. She's close to one and half now, no end in sight, and I'm happy with that.
