Our daughter decided to make a dramatic entrance to this world yesterday. Suspected broken water and possible

Infection of placenta as the cause. Eloise was born at 2lbs 4.7 oz and 14 inches long by emergency c-section. NICU nurses say she is a fiesty little girl. She is breathing

Mostly unassisted with just a c-pap. Very strong and vocal. I finally got to meet her about 12 hours after surgery. I’m doing well too. In pain but happy all is doing well so far. She’s so tiny but so special.

She’ll be in NICU for a few months and has long road ahead of her but she is a fighter. 💜

Edit to add: she is 27 weeks 6 days today! On regular cpap now and breathing completely in her own. She had her IV removed yesterday and she is getting a new bed today as she is coming out of humidity. The nurses here say she is a rockstar. She is a little grabby with her hands and likes to pull out her feeding tube.
