Ectropian/Eroded Cervix

Julia

Had a scary morning.....2 days ago had faint pink discharge after bowel movement. No other symptoms and only once....rang midwife, told nothing to worry about, ring GP if happens again.

This morning, BAM, happened again. Phoned GP who phoned EPU at local hospital, who told me to come down.

Cue massive freak out.

Thankfully they got the doppler out immediately and babies heartbeat was strong and found straight away. Massive relief.

Doctor examined me and looked at cervix, said I have Ectropia as pregnancy hormones cause mucus producing cells to move down from uterus onto cervix and if disturbed (by sex or bowel movement), can bleed.

Apparently very common and nothing to worry about!

So relieved.
