so the plate or however you spell it is for an overbite and the cavities are tiny little you can hardly see them but I'm a weird person and was inspecting my mouth

So I have a bad brushing routine I have since I was little i used to brush my teeth before I went out I used to go out everyday now I'm home schooled it turned shit like yeah ive got depression and anxiety so doing everyday things is really difficult mentally I lost my brushing routine I guess I haven't been to the dentist I 1 and a half years because I don't like to were the plate I have because I gag with it in like I put it in and gag even distracting myself does not work I gag the whole time I was brushing today and noticed 2 cavities my mum refuses to take me unless I wear the plate does anyone have any tips how to wear the plate and how to create a better brushing routine I also don't want to tell my mum I got cavities because when I was 7/8 was the last time I had a couple and she yelled about money and stuff I haven't had one in 5 years I haven't been to the dentist in 1 and a half i get lectured on it I'm 14
