For me it would depend on the reason. Meaning do they just not believe in marriage? Would marriage impact some benefit they receive that we could not carry jointly? I know some people have not gotten married because it would affect the disability benefits they get.

Prior to being married yes. If something happened to my husband and I was a widow then I am not sure. Probably not. It's too hard to picture being remarried.
