My newborn will vomit about 1-3 times a day and spit up after most feeds not straight away but usaully a hour or two later. he will eat comfortably but trying to get his wind during and after the feed is a nightmare he will crunch into a ball and arch is back letting me know he is uncomfortable and cry everytime I try pat or rub him, and I’ll wind him anything up to two hours with no wind and eventually he will fall asleep so I will lay him down then 30 mins later he will wimper and as I pick him up he will burp so that will be 2-3 hours after the feed. Sometimes his vomit is yellow in colour but he does wee and poo frequently. I have tried several different winding techniques and have mentioned it to my midwife but she said it’s normal for a 3 week old baby. I can’t carry on like this because I’m starting to dread feeds cause by the time he is fed and winded he is hungry again and I’m living on 2-3 hours of sleep a day. I’m starting to get so run down I’m running a fever every second day now from exhaustion. I’m using infacol which has made a difference but not much and I use the dr browns bottles he will eat 3-4oz every 3–4 hours in which I brake every half a oz to wind usaully with no success but I can’t wind for too long as he loses interest in the bottle or starts screaming. I’m a ftm and I really don’t think this is normal any advice would be hugely appreciated I have changed his formula to sma pro as he is bottle fed I hold him upright during the feeds and keep him upright for 20-30mins after the feed
