Chances of multiples higher with trigger shot?

I know the chances of multiples are always slim, but do they go up if I took femara this cycle, and got a trigger shot with one mature follicle (over 20 mm)? i wasnt sure if multiples were only possible with more than one mature follicle needed... still learning about all of this. Thanks so much

Yes. I was on 50 mg clomid and had a follicle monitoring scan the day before my trigger shot. The scan showed I had one mature follicle at 18 mm and another immature at only 13. I triggered the next day and that cycle was successful and I now am 23 weeks with di/di fraternal twins. I believe the trigger shot caused the smaller follicle to release an egg as well.

Fraternal twins is only possible with more than one egg. Identical can happen anytime but not more likely with a trigger shot (or any fertility treatment).

I think it all depends if the egg inside the follicles are mature and generally you can't tell through ultrasound.
