Alternatives to tampons/pads/cups?

Question

What are your experiences with any alternatives to tampons, pads and menstrual cups? What would you recommend?
I usually use tampons but hate how they dry me out and also I’d like something more eco-friendly.
Unfortunately a menstrual cup isn’t an option for me as I have an IUD and I don’t want to accidentally pull it out when taking the cup out! 
I’ve been researching other options but it’s difficult to find anything! I’m curious about “period panties”, and I also recently found these little washable and reusable sponges called Sea Pearls on Amazon. Has anyone here tried them? Or anything else?

If you look on etsy they actually have reausable tampons! Idk how they compare to tampons as far as absorption but maybe look into that. I like reausable pads, they hold more than a regular pad and are so much more comfortable! They don't give as much of that wet feeling either. I haven't tried period panties but I wouldn't suggest using them as your main form of protection. They would be good for backup to something else, when you expect your period to come or when your only spotting.

One of the OB/GYN doctors I work with uses the sea pearls and she loves them!  Rinses them out with warm tap water and then cleans with half peroxide half water after her cycle. She said they only need replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on how long/heavy your cycles are. ;)
