Anyone else’s baby sucking hands a lot so you think they’re hungry, but they’re not ?

My son sucks on them all day his entire first. but I don’t think bc he’s hungry I think maybe teething

By now it’s their attempt in self-soothing, not a sign of being hungry.

My baby started doing this around 10 weeks old. Then he started drooling around 12 weeks. His first teeth came out at 16 weeks. He had some sleep disturbances but hasn't been very fussy at all.

I go to a new moms group that is held by a lactation consultant and they told me that after 8 weeks hands to the mouth is no longer an indicator of if they're hungry.

Mine started doing this this month, I think it's just her discovering her hands but so could be a sign of teething.

Mine started doing this but i know she's not hungry cause boy oh boy when she's hungry nd has no milk she cries until she gets her milk

She’s been doing it for a month so I think it’s just the stage of body discovery and self soothing because no teeth and she doesn’t seem unhappy like she would be if it was a tooth 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine does this a lot but when I offer the breast she doesn’t want it. It’s just the start of the many things she is going to put in her mouth.
