I had the same thing. I called L&D and they weren’t too concerned being that I’m 38 weeks pregnant and it isn’t heavy or continuing.

Bright red bleeding is usually happens in dilation around 4cm & again at 7 cm
Could be a sign that you’re dilating

So weird, I just noticed some drops of bright red blood when wiping only, an hour ago.
I have trush so I think this is due to the skin being sensitive, more of a scratch than spotting. Baby is being very active as usual and didn't have any spotting since then, hoping it's not concerning.
Called my OB to ask, no reply yet, I don't want to go to the hospital for a few drops only :-?

Have you had a cervical exam or sex in the last 48 hours? If so it is probably spotting from that and is normal. My doctor said bleeding that is like a period flow needs to be checked. If it continues get it looked at but a small amount here and there is ok.

I would go to the hospital now. Bright red is a hospital thing. If it was brown or pink I’d say wait and call your doc.

The thing is it was red that one time and I wiped again and it was pink and nothing since...last time I called they told me unless your water breaks or your contractions hurt then basically don’t bother calling...😅
