Am I making the formula right? Help!

If you follow the instructions to make 6 oz formula using 6 oz water and 3 scoops powder, doesn’t it actually make more like 7 oz? Am I crazy or doing something wrong? I always get more like 7 oz when I make the Enfamil formula.

Get a glass of water and pour some water in it. Now grab a small toy or something and drop it in there. Notice the water level rose? Thats what the formula is doing too. Its displacing the water.

Yes, add the water first and then the formula powder. And yes it will end up being slightly more volume than what you set out to make but it has the correct number of calories and correct composition of nutrients.
