Did people like the name you chose for your sweet baby?

If they didn’t like the name, what is your baby’s name? And what made you feel as if they were against it?

Does it matter? 🤷🏼‍♀️ feel like if the parents like the name, no one elses opinion matters.

We never decided on a name till after birth. If we ever decide in advance I don't want to tell anyone--once the baby's already born and named people seem to keep their opinions to themselves. My MIL recently told me she didn't like our son's name at first, but that now she feels it fits him perfectly 😂

I had lots of mixed opinions. Some loved it some hated it. I didnt really care. My sons name is Dallas.

My sister and her husband chose Salem and everyone in our family hates it. No  one would say anything to them though. Their daughter is 3 and everyone still hates it. I have not heard one positive thing said about it yet.

The MIL doesnt like it, she wants our daughter named after her. She even has said she will call her "Lucy" which is NOT the name we picked or related to the name instead of our name after we told her we were not naming her after her. 
We've already warned her that she womt be seeing our girl as much if shes gonna act like that.

I was always asked what our name choices were and they always had something negative to say about it once we found out our baby was a boy we decided he would be a jr. This time we have choices we’ve finally decided on that we both agree on but aren’t telling anyone. People have their opinions which is fine but I’d rather not hear about how this name is boring or too different and so forth.

My daughter's name is Alessandra. I get comments from strangers all the time about how beautiful her name is but never from anyone in our family so I guess they don't really like it that much. My husband's family always want to shorten it to Allie, which I don't hate but we never call her that. I think they think it's too long or difficult to pronounce (they're a little bit hick 😂)

When I picked Mason for my son, my mom called him "Mason Jar" for the longest time. She finally stopped when he was born. Now he's 4 and we couldn't imagine his name being anything else. (I'm pretty sure she was just pissed I wasn't naming him William after her father, lmao.)

We’re naming our daughter Artemis and have had very mixed results. Some people love it both of our parents hate it. My mother in law really hates it. Oh well 💁🏼‍♀️
