We are confused and surprised his morphology came back at 2% since we have conceived twice already (one MC and we have a two year old). All of my tests and ultrasounds came back great and clear, no cysts or blockages... the doctor said they dont know what causes it and we may have to do IVF? is there anyway to improve morphology or has anyone have success doing IUI or naturally conceiving with 2% morphology? Any comments or experiences would be so helpful we are very confused and worried and hoping to avoid IVF...

My husband's morphology is also 2%, all other numbers for both of us looked great. Our Dr suggested a couple rounds of medicated IUI before discussing IVF, because we are still young. (Both 29) He said he would be suggesting IVF if we were 10 years older. We conceived on the first round of IUI! The Dr was kind of surprised it happened so quickly since we have been trying naturally for 7 years.

My husband had zero morphology. He did really expensive vitamins for 3 months but only about one month of pills because he sucks at taking pills. Stayed cool wearing basically all shorts and his numbers have been fine ever since. Now we have 3 frozen day 5 embryos ❤

My husbands morphology was also at 2%, and my RE recommended him taking FertilAid 1 pill 3 times per day. I ordered it on Amazon for $29.95 for a months supply.

My hubby has zero morphology and we did ISCI and are in our first FET cycle now. My doctor said morphology can impact fertilization if the sperm are all abnormal shapes they may not be able or have a hard time burrowing into the egg. But some men with low or no morph have no issues getting women preggo so it is a bit up in the air. It can impact but sometimes it doesn’t! I had hubby taking coq10 to try and up his numbers. Also did they do more than one semen analysis to make sure it wasn’t a fluke? My doctors had him do 2.

My doctor said if that’s the only issue and everything else is high, it’s most likely not the sole reason for not getting pregnant. My husband has 1% but sky high motility and count so she’s not concerned and think we’ll respond well to IUi and won’t need to discuss IV. currently on 2nd round!
