Okay, so my SO and I have been together for 2.5 years. We’ve known from the beginning we wanted to spend our lives together. He is pretty much my complete opposite but we work well together and I love him so damn much.

Recently we found out that my fertility isn’t great so we decided to start trying for baby now. He practically gave in to my endless tears and concerns that we might never fall pregnant. He said he wants to start trying now and he’s ready now, but I know he’s only saying that to appease me.

So here’s the thing. I really don’t want to force him into doing something he doesn’t want to do. My options are -

• 1 • Tell him we can delay TTC so that he’s not forced into doing something he doesn’t want to do yet. But risk not being able to have kids down the track.

• 2 • Hold off on having children now and pay over $10,000 to collect my eggs in the hope that we can try in the future.

• 3 • Decide to do it alone and access a sperm donation service.

• 4 • Continue with our plan on TTC now, knowing that my SO would really rather wait.

I love this man so much but my heart is breaking about my fertility. I really just need some advice.
