I sell Usborne Books. Right now it’s not going well because of COVID-19, but it was going ok before (though right now I just feel like a failure because ive not sold any books since the beginning of March). I‘ve not lost any money like I did when I tried it works (terrible company that definitely doesn’t work 😂) and I have a bunch of books that we like. I know it’s definitely MLM and honestly I don’t normally like MLM’s because of the fact the sales people are pushy and rude and the products don’t normally work. When I went into selling books I was basically just going in because I wanted to make a little money while staying at home, and I got free and half priced books. I’ve made some money and got some free books, but I don’t want to be an MLM sales-ey person. I don’t like when people push me to try one of their products (especially after I’ve told them no) so I’m not going to be like that selling the books. I’ve actually had people tell me how much they appreciate the fact that I don’t push and honestly I think thats more of a win than actually selling the books 😂 
I have parties booked for later times (hopefully this virus will be done with by then). And I’ve been able to book those parties because people wanted to host, not because I asked them to. The lady above me keeps trying to get me to push. Sending me ways to ask people right now that have worked for her. I get it, she gets paid more if I’m selling (yes it’s basically  a pyramid scheme 😂) but im not trying to do that. I’m not asking people while some are struggling to host parties. I’ve had her try to get me to get people to be consultants (because people need extra money right now). I’m not trying to do that either. I honestly think that the negativity comes when the products don’t work (books are books so 🤷🏼‍♀️), from people being pushy (I refuse to be pushy), and from noticing that you’re struggling with something and using that to get you to buy or sell  (I definitely refuse to do that.) So no, I’m probably not going to make as much money as the people who post on their private fb walls about their product, or ask someone a million times until they finally give in, but I’m selling a product that I really love, getting cheaper product in return, making money (I’ve kept track to make sure I’m not losing any lol). I may not be doing great right now, and because of the way the lady above me is I think, I feel like I’m failing, but I mean I guess I’m technically not, she’s just pushy 🤷🏼‍♀️
It really just depends on how the company is set up, if the product is actually something that will work, and how you approach it..
