Copays ?

So at my first prenatal appointment I was given a paper estimating my total cost of care for all my prenatal visits. Now my doctor has also given me a copay of 40$ for the first visit and 35$ for my upcoming ultrasound. I understand the ultrasound one but does this mean I’m going to have to pay a co pay every time I see her plus the total amount that was on the paper ? I’ve never done this before and it doesn’t seem right to me.

This is determine by your insurance company not your doctor. So call your insurance company and find out their rules.

You should only be paying the co pay every visit. Whatever the paper said should be the total amount you will be spending throughout your pregnancy. Always ask though if you are unsure

I don’t have copayment, but I have to pay $427 by month 7 of they’ll drop me as a patient

I didn't have a co-pay ever time. I did however have to pay my big payment of $1,950 before week 20. I would call your insurance. Everyone's is different!
