My daughter had to have hers cauterised as it would not close properly and would have little bleeds. Definitely see your doctor about it as it can lead to infection if it’s not closed.

Every cord looks different as it heals. As long as it isn't a continuous flow of blood, no pus is leaking, it isn't red/hot around the area, and there isn't a distinct smell you should be okay. :) I was extremely worried when I saw blood on my little guy's as it was healing, his pediatrician said it was completely normal!
