What should I do?

My last scan was the anatomy scan at 18w. My doctor hasn’t ordered another scan or told me about the baby’s size since. I keep seeing everyone’s posts about knowing exactly how big and what percentile baby is, and I’d really like to know what I’m going to be dealing with here!!!
I’m currently 33w 5d. I feel very uninformed this pregnancy because my doctor is not very good. Doesn’t like to answer questions, very opinionated and pushes me out the door everytime. He has very bad reviews online but I pushed off switching doctors because I was nervous and now I’m stuck. 
Should I tell him I want another scan? Or should I wait and try not to upset him ? He’s super short tempered I’ve heard.

theres really no point for any more scans after the anatomy scan unless you have a high risk pregnancy or an issue. but you can still switch doctors if you're not happy

I haven’t had another scan since my autonomy scan either and said I won’t be getting one unless there is a concern. (:

Any scans after 20 weeks are counter productive because babies vary so much after 20 weeks. Most doctors only do the first aging scan at 8-12 weeks and the. The anatomy scan at 18-22 weeks. The only real reason for any further scans would be a concern for baby's health. Weight and size estimate are often wrong too. So the moms who "have measurements" really only have an estimate, those numbers could vary by as much as 2.5 pounds in either direction. Late term scans also often end up with babies being taken early by mistake, thinking mom's body wont be able to birth the baby. Only for the supposed 8 pounder to be born at 37 weeks and only weighing in at 5.5 pounds. It causes unnecessary risk for the baby.

I haven’t had a scan since the anatomy scan either, I am 33 weeks and was told I won’t have another unless there is an issue or a concern. I am also curious how so many people are getting them and knowing the exact size of their baby but I figure I’ll meet her in 7 weeks so if they don’t see a need for another scan, I can accept that.

I’m 34 weeks and haven’t had a scan since my 20 week anatomy scan. I will be getting one at my 36 week appointment. Not sure if it was routine or not but she said they are doing on to check his position (he’s been transverse) and to check his size (I’ve been measuring small my last 3 appointments)

Just wanting to know ur babies size isnt enough
I have one ordered this week bc they are worried about growth
I'd rather my doctor feel everything was perfect and not go then have to worry about my up coming scan

2 scans is normal unless you have a stubborn baby that doesn’t cooperate at the anatomy scan and then at the repeat he measures way bigger than he’s supposed to 👍🏼😂 
Take it as a good sign that they see no reason to repeat

Having 2 scans is the norm for most pregnancies and all most insurances will cover. I’m on baby number 4 and the only time I’ve received one after my 20 week scan was with my third and that was because I hit the 41 week mark so it was part of my NST to make sure my fluid levels were good.

My Ob only does scans at 8 and 20 weeks. I’m getting an extra at 32 only because of my thyroid condition. I think that’s completely normal unless you have other reasons to get extra scans.

What should I do?
