My husband and I have been seeing a fertility specialist and recently got the results of his semen analysis. The outcome was not what we expected, not a single sperm was found in his sample. Not one!! So he now has a bunch of blood work to do and an ultrasound followed by a second semen analysis.

Has anyone else gone through this and what was the outcome? The doctor says right now there are too many variables and possible causes to really know for sure what’s going on, and what treatment if any we will under go.

Medical history wise, there’s nothing that we can think of. The only thing is my husband was born breach and had bruising on his testicles for a while as an infant. The doctor said that trauma could have caused a blockage or scar tissue in which case micro surgery could possibly correct.
