What is the best age difference?

Does anyone have children 4-5 years apart and think it’s a good age difference? I am thinking that would be feasible for my family, but I’m curious to hear how it has worked out for others.

Around 3 years worked perfectly for us. I like to have my kids potty trained and out of diapers before a new baby comes along. Plus it’s not that far apart so they like to play together. My older sister and I are 3 years apart so I always liked that age gap. My husband and his brother are 5 years apart and they never really played with each or could relate to one other. My younger sister and I are a whopping 15 years apart! Our relationship did not become a sisterly relationship until she entered adulthood. It was more like a mother daughter relationship up until then.

My first two are 4 years apart, don't get along at all. Don't know if it's their age or personalities.

My oldest is 7, middle is 3 and youngest will be 2 in March.  ( girl, boy, boy)
My older and middle fight like crazy!!! He wants to do stuff she is but she doesn't want him in her room, or he doesn't fully understand things she says when they're playing.  The middle and little are great together,  and they are in to most of the same things.  For me at this point the 4 year difference is awful!! Lol

I think it is whatever YOU think is best! 👍🏾 Our daughter is 15 months. My husband and I have NO plans of having a second (and last haha) baby anytime soon lol. We want our daughter to be at least three. We would prefer four, maybe even five. However, a 3-5 year age difference is our preference. That's what we think is best for us. That may not work for everyone.🤷🏾‍♀️ My Sorority Sister's son is seven months older than my daughter and she is expecting her second baby in May. Before she even became pregnant with her first, she had already expressed that she wanted her children to be really close in age. My husband and I do not want ours to be close like that.

I love the the 5-6 year age difference. I have a 16 year old, 12yro ,6yro, and newborn at home 😊 ive always had lots of helping hands

Mine are 6 years apart and I actually love it. Probably not what you were looking for, but I just wanted to say that it’s a really nice gap. There are pluses and minuses to everything but I’ve really enjoyed how our older child can help and understand what’s going on, unlike a toddler would.

My son is 5 and my daughter is 3 months. I LOVE it! He is so helpful with her and completely adores her! He is a really sweet kid anyways but the fact he can help so much and entertain himself makes everything so much easier! If I’ve been up all night with the baby and need to sleep in a little more in the morning he will go grab an apple and put on a show. I’ve even caught him entertaining his sister while he thought I was asleep! He sings and talks with her all day! I love it!

I’m the youngest of 3, my sisters are 4 and 5 years older than me...  coming from a sibling point of view, I really enjoyed it!!
