Frustrated with husband - FTM
LO is five weeks and is going through a growth spurt right now and is on my boob constantly. My husband seems to think he’s not getting enough from my boob and is always insinuating to give the bottle. I know my output is good because when I pump I get between 4-6 ounces in about 10 minutes. I tried explaining to him that baby is more efficient than the pump but he sometimes comfort nurses/falls asleep which is why he’s on there for 30-60 minutes at a time.
He would never tell me to exclusively bottle feed/pump because he knows that’s not his place. But it’s easy for him to think bottle is easier because he just gives baby the bottle. He doesn’t have to pump. When it’s just me I have to bottle feed and then pump to make sure that my supply keeps up and that we have enough in general. Try doing that 12 times a day. He knows that though so he keeps his mouth shut, but it drives me crazy knowing he’s thinking it.
He also started giving him six ounces from a fast flow nipple at 3 weeks so now LO is used to drinking that much.
Not really looking for advice, just need to vent. Baby has been up for 5 hours, no nap, won’t stop crying unless he’s on the boob and now I’m begrudgingly heating up a bottle.
