Hyaluronic Acid causing breakouts?

I got Hyaluronic acid and I put it on my face and I feel like it made me breakout. Has this happened to anyone else? Or would it make it better if I mixed it in with my moisturizer?

I use a hyaluronic acid serum every night and I have super sensitive skin especially when it’s that time of the month or near that time, and it actually has helped my acne. Hyaluronic acid is not harsh but rather moisturizing all it’s own. Though I do use a moisturizer over top of mine at night. It could be a allergic reaction maybe? Also make sure you tap it into skin rather than rubbing it absorbs better. Hope this helps! It is amazing for skin I’m sorry you broke out! Hopefully it is just a coincidence!
