Pure barre while pregnant??

Hi ladies, 
Wondering if anyone out there has done pure barre classes while pregnant? I know if I lived near a studio the instructors would give me modifications but I do my classes on demand from home so I don’t have that luxury! Anyone out there know what they recommend we not do while preggo? I’m 14wks today and have had prior miscarriages so I don’t want to mess up and do a banned exercise. My OB hadn’t heard of barre so I can’t rely on her too much for this. Thanks girls!!

I’m 23w and been doing barre during my pregnancy, abs on my back and all. The teachers and my OB said it’s safe as long as I’m comfortable and so far I’ve been fine! It’s a great way to exercise with low impact while pregnant.

The only thing you need to NOT do is any exercise where you are lying flat on your back . You can actually still do ab exercises ... variations of planks are actually encouraged during pregnancy and help prevent diastasis recti. Pure barre is safe just no lying flat on your back . If you were doing hip thrusts or something like that you would be fine . I’m 25 weeks and still do chest press / flys etc I just push my hips up into a bridge . 
As a certified personal trainer I hear women all the time say “oh I’m pregnant I have to stop doing this “ if you’re healthy and have a healthy pregnancy there is no reason to stop working out . Now if you were a body builder you would def need to bring you weights down and the further along in your pregnancy you are the more prone you are to injury due to increase in relaxin . But again you should be fine

Skip any exercises that focus primarily on your abs like crunches, sit-ups, etc. otherwise can’t see why you couldn’t do it. Miscarriages are generally related to genetics and not exercise, and since you’re out of first trimester you’re supposed to avoid ab-targeted exercises for the most part anyway

I do Booty Barre every Saturday and I never need mods, but I do skip the mat work at the end. I don’t know how close it is to Pure Barre, though. It’s the only one I’ve ever done.
