Teen parent?

What does teen parent mean in applying for health insurance. I’m 19 will be 20 in less than 2 weeks now, and 2 months pregnant, does this count as a teen parent? I mean I’m not even a parent yet but confused because I am a teen at the moment, if that’s what it means.

I think it means that your a minor when your child is born and would normally be on your parents insurance. I would call them because when I had my baby at 16 I STOPPED being a teen mom at 18 actually. The legal age of an adult. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Are you applying for Medicaid? I just put my age which was 19, but that’s an “adult” I don’t consider myself to be a teen mom nor did they ask me if I was (I’ll be 20 when she is born) I can’t relate to a 15 or 16 year old who is pregnant in high school. I’m also able to stay on my parents health insurance for any reason until I turn 26, so with Medicaid that makes me dual insured.
