i’m 17 and on the last week of my first time using birth control (and then i just have the sugar pills). i was thinking about talking to my doctor about getting an iud, primarily because even though i have an alarm set to take my pill everyday, i can still be forgetful and take it late i know the effectiveness is not as much when not taken properly so that’s why i considered an iud, because it would be safer and more effective. although when i mentioned it to a friend, she said my mom would have to know about it. do i need my mom’s permission to get an iud?
