when to take pregnancy test

my period was supposed to start january 13. i’m on BC pills and started taking the placebos on january 12. january 15 is the last time i had sex. i still haven’t gotten my period. should i test now or wait until my next period is possibly missed/late? ive never had a pregnancy scare before because im very good at remembering to take my pill at the same time every day

I would take it now as placebo was supposed to give you your period!

I take birth control and the last week (the week with no pill ) I had no flow but the next time round it was like my normal period loads of factors can contribute stress , weight loss etc but you should take the test too especially if you don’t use condoms (I do so I wasn’t too worried plus my period used to vanish for months at a time then come back 😂)

If ur taking the pills properly/consistently, then chances of pregnancy are extremely slim. One of the ways hormonal birth control works is by thinning the uterine lining, which can sometimes result in little to no bleeding. So, it’s normal to skip withdrawal bleeds/“periods” on hormonal birth control. But, if ur still worried, wait another few days to a week & then test.
