I want to text my ex.

We dated for two years and ended on fairly good terms back in September. Two weeks later he texted me a long paragraph just stating that he doesn’t hate me, he’s proud of who he watched me become, and that he wishes nothing but success and happiness for me in the future. I never responded. I just couldn’t. Not at the moment anyways. It was too hard. I’m at the point where I’m over him, more or less, and want to send a response back. Is this a bad idea?
