Getting a tattoo while breastfeeding?

I know it’s a big no to get a tattoo while pregnant.. what about while breastfeeding?

I got one last month 🤷🏼‍♀️ all i could find on the internet was about not getting an infection. So I’d say you’re good as long as you go to a good place.

Infection is the only concern. I've not gotten one because I'm worried about the baby grabbing and scratching it or rubbing on when I hold him.... I want it on my arm so.... placement to me might also be a concern?

I wouldn’t worry. I think the cause of concern is infection when pregnant because it can lead to premature labor. If you were to get an infection now your baby would only get your antibodies through the breast milk.

Everything I've read just says to make sure it doesn't get infected. I got 2 on my wrists when I was breastfeeding and didn't have any problems. Go to a good shop, make sure they're using new, clean needles, and follow your aftercare instructions and you should be good.
