crazy af
sooo I went to the Er for swelling & contractions at about 37 weeks pregnant, they checked my cervix & I was dilated to a 4 (not progressing) with my water bag “bulging” according to nurses so I got sent home to rest & get ready for baby because they legitimately thought baby was coming any day (they wanted my water to break on its own.) almost a week later at 38 weeks after having steady, consistent contractions I rolled out of bed to shower & get dressed for the day only to realize I had a puddle under me. went to the bathroom & day on the toilet for a good 15 minutes with fluid just leaking out of me consistently. called my mom & bf, got dressed, leaked all over my clothes, changed 3 more times & finally just put a towel around my waste & headed to the hospital. leaked all over the hospital floor while I was checking in. (oops)
obviously had bad contractions once I got situated in the delivery room, waited not so patiently for the epidural, & then turned into a completely new person once it kicked in. 😂 dilated from a 4 to a 10 within the hour, things were looking good.
PUSHED FOR 4 HOURS😖 labor was fine, I was holding up strong, but my baby got stuck at my pubic bone & was not budging. doctor had to use forceps to get him under out from under the bone & in the middle of pushing I felt this excruciating pain in my pelvis. I legitimately let out a blood curling scream & told my doctor I was not moving anymore. I couldn’t do it... he had to shove both of his arms inside of me & maneuver my baby out the rest of the way because I thought I was broken in half.
recovery went normal until about the 3rd day, I was signing my release papers & going to the bathroom before heading home... sat on the toilet & lost my mind screaming & crying. I somehow managed to separate/break my pelvic bone while in labor & nobody noticed. (until all of the drugs completely wore off.) obviously I had to stay in for a few extra days, but now I’m on 6 weeks bed rest with a newborn & I physically can’t take care of him like a mom should. I physically can’t do anything for myself at all & I’m having to relearn how to walk correctly. it’s been extremely hard & overwhelming.
