Umbilical cord falling off early?

I noticed small amount of blood on my daughter's onesie about an hour ago and it looks like her umbilical cord is about to fall off. It's barely hanging on. Is it normal that it's coming off this early? Will it hurt anything if it comes off early?
FTM, so I have no idea about any of this.

My baby’s umbilical cord came off within the first week home. She has like 2 little drop of blood on her diaper but that was it. I always folded the front part of her diaper down, to make sure it didn’t rub her, but she was good. I also didn’t give her a soaking bath till like 2 days after it fell off just to make sure it was healed.
As long as you’re not pulling/picking at it, your baby is fine!

My little guy just had his fall off. He was born early Thursday so he's just a bit over 72 hours old.

Both my daughters was the same of falling off during the 1st week of being home. And I folded the diaper to make sure nothing rubbed too. Plan on doing the same once this one is born
