I DID IT!

I am so relieved to be done with the first part of my IVF cycle! My husband has Congenital Bilateral Absence of Vas Deferens (CBAVD) which means that he does not have vas deferens so our only option is IVF. He had his sperm extracted back in September so his swimmers are ready to go! I just did my trigger last night (Novarel) and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. THAT NEEDLE WAS HUGE! We were prepared to do a fresh transfer but my doctor cancelled it because my estrogen and progesterone levels were through the roof. She claimed that my uterine lining was more advanced than the embryos would be so it would be unlikely that they would stick. With my levels being so high, she was afraid that I would develop OHSS if we did a fresh transfer. My ovaries are the size of oranges right now and I am tiny so she was a little concerned. We are a little down as we were so excited to do the transfer this week but God has different plans for us! My egg retrieval is set for Monday morning and I am saying prayers that they get a good amount of healthy/mature eggs.

I am so relieved to be done with shots (for now). After Monday, all I need to do is relax and wait for my period to come so we can transfer our miracle baby in a few weeks! Has anyone had a similar experience with their IVF cycle? How did you stay relaxed and stress free while you wait for your FET?
