Iron pills and breastfeeding?

My doctor told me I needed to take iron pills a while back I did for a few months than stopped taking them i would now like to start taking them again the slow fe pills to be exact just wondering if anyone else is taking iron and breastfeeding has it had ant affect on your L.O

I just continue to take my prenatal vitamins while breastfeeding, which contain iron.

I think it’s fine. Im only breastfeeding and after I gave birth they had to give me a few doses of iron before we left due to me losing so much blood and becoming anemic.
