Percentiles?

My 8month daughter is in the 99% percentile for both height and weight. Does this mean she will be a tall adult? My husband and I are both 5’8” so if anything we expected her to be around our height.

I was in the high percentages for height and am 5’10.  DH was in the high percentages for height and is 6’5.  Both families have mostly tall people (or old people who were tall at one point lol) - and each generation seems to add another inch or two.  Our lo is at 98% for height and the doctors have consistently said that the one thing they know for sure is that he’s going to be tall.  Not hard to guess that one!  ;)

There's a theory that at 2 if they're half ur height they'll be your height shorter then same goes they'll be shorter taller ...so on so on ...

Not necessarily. She'll probably be tall because you two are. As babies, their height and weight don't always reflect how they're gonna be as they get older. I was a big chunky baby, bigger than most babies. But today, I'm of average height and weight for a woman my age.

My baby girl has been off the chart for height and I am 5’7” and my husband is 6’1” (his sisters are 5’10”. I’m really interested to know how tall she’ll be but I will probably be waiting awhile 😂

I was always off the chart for height and weight as a baby and I'm 5'6 average built woman...however my brother was off the charts and is a giant 6'4 200 pound 19 year old (not fat he plays D1 lacrosse)...my mom just made big babies I guess 🤷‍♀️

My daughter is 30th for weight and 5th for height. I’m wondering if she will be petite. Her father and I are no where near tiny (both over weight and he is 6’1”) but his mom is only around 5’3-5’4
