I just think baby showers should only be planned by the person with the baby. All I see about baby showers is how people say they will plan them and yet when the day comes not a god damn thing is done. My mother wanted to throw me a shower since this is her first grandchild. I wasn’t thrilled at first but let her do it since she was going to have it at her house and do all the work. Or so I thought. I agreed to do all the food myself since I’m vegan and would like a completely vegan shower. Which is fine but I need her kitchen to cook since it’s at her house. We got here this morning and the house is a wreck, she still needs to go to the store and she’s giving me shit for filling up her turtle tank since she was neglecting him. I’m not one to complain so I’m sitting in the spare room crying. I still need to eat breakfast too AND I didn’t sleep much because I’m preggo and we had to get up early to prepare for the shower. Just happy my fiancé can keep it together and cook he’s such an angel
