Pumping
I went back to work about a month and a half ago and I’m still trying to figure out the pumping thing. We are EBF still (baby is 5 months). I nurse until I get up to get ready to leave. Pump around 9. Feed baby around 11:45 and pump while feeding. Pump again around 3 and then feed baby once I’m home around 430 ish. I still leak ALL FREAKING OVER. through nursing pads and all, but when I pump I’m only pumping about four ounces each side. For those of you who pump at work, how often do you pump, how much are you able to express and what kind of pump and storage bags do you use? I’ve been using the freemie but I really wonder if I should be able to express more at a time. I’ve tried eating oatmeal every morning with milk thistle and lots of granola bars. Even tried milky mama cookies (which taste terrible). My water intake isn’t great but it’s much better than it was before I started nursing. I just wanted to make sure that I’m making enough for him. He weighs 17 + lbs and seems to gaining still, but it has slowed down since I returned to work.
